Setting Goals Using PVAAS Reports
Goal setting and/or establishing priorities at the school, grade or subject level requires us to get the pulse on the history of how we have impacted the growth and achievement of our students. PVAAS reports (School Launchpad which includes School Value Added and Diagnostic) provide us with valuable insight into the growth of students the previous year as well as several previous years. We can also look at the growth of students with various achievement histories through examining growth of quintile groups of students in our school. That information, combined with other historical and baseline data that we may have provides data teams with information to move forward in planning for this year’s students.

Registration Now Open for the Keystone Kids Digital Book Report Challenge
Registration for the Keystone Kids Digital Book Report Challenge is now open and will remain open until November 30, 2016. Students and teachers in grades 5-8 are eligible to participate. Upgrade the typical book report with a digital spin! Integrate reading, writing, and 21st century literacy skills into an interactive and engaging project. This year’s theme is “With Reading and Liberty for All”. Since this is a Presidential Election year, students are encouraged to create a digital book report that ties in some form of United States government. Teachers will utilize best practices and classroom management strategies with students for the development of these multimedia projects.
