Please make sure that all costumes are appropriate for school.
Classroom parties will take place immediately following the parade and will conclude at 10:45am in order to prepare for kindergarten dismissal. Classroom coordinators and classroom teachers will reach out with more specific information.
Parent volunteers must check in with the main office when they arrive and must have the proper clearances. Our classroom teachers will communicate specific party information to these helpers. Thank you in advance for your time on this day.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest
It’s October and that means pumpkins are everywhere! Let’s take this fun, festive gourd and bring it into the library to show our love of books! Just pick a book, purchase a small-sized pumpkin (that you can easily carry by yourself), and decorate it like your favorite book character. You can decorate it, paint it, glue things to it, and add a lot of fun details. Do not carve the pumpkin. The pumpkins will be on display in the library for two weeks, and we don’t want them to rot or attract pests.
See information letter below for examples and the form to turn in with your pumpkin.
Technology and Innovation Update
Currently, the Technology and Innovation Department blocks Microsoft Office 365 logins to Outlook, OneDrive, ClassLink, and Canvas from foreign countries. This aids in protecting our CBSD user accounts and organization from malicious computer attacks from outside of the United States.
Students who travel cannot assume their devices will work once they leave the United States. For student out-of-country access requests, please know that access to technology for vacations will not be approved at this time.
Veterans Day Picture Request
Titus Families- Are your family’s veterans on the Titus Wall of Honor?
In November, the windows of the rotunda will be filled with pictures of United States military personnel. If you have a family member who served or is currently serving in any branch of the United States military, please scan and email a picture of them (picture size 4x6 or smaller) along with the information in the below attachment. Pictures need to be emailed to Mrs. Schorpp hniemeyerschorpp@cbsd.org marked Wall of Honor by Friday, October 22nd. Thank you!
Please note that if you sent in a picture in a previous year, you do not need to resend it. We keep them from year to year; however, if the child who initially brought in the photo has moved on to middle school, we may not have a copy of the picture. If you need to update any information, such as additional children now attending Titus, or to check if we have the picture, please email Mrs. Schorpp at hniemeyerschorpp@cbsd.org Thank you!!
Note: If your picture is turned in after the deadline, we cannot guarantee that it will make this year’s Wall of Honor or Photo Story slide show.
Veterans Day 2021
We are thrilled to be able to extend an invitation once again to the family members of any current student who serve or served in the United States military to join us on Thursday, November 11th. We simply want to honor the veterans in our families as we gather for what has become a treasured annual event.
We want everyone to feel comfortable and be safe, so this year we are hosting 3 assemblies to allow for adequate spacing.
9:00 AM – Grade 1, Grade 2, and AM Kindergarten
10:00 AM – Grade 3 and Grade 4
2:15 PM – Grade 5, Grade 6, and PM Kindergarten
We understand that siblings might be attending different assemblies. We ask that veterans pick one assembly to attend, and we will arrange for the other siblings to join us at the end for a picture with their vet. Please understand that we are doing multiple assemblies to keep everyone comfortable and healthy!
FOR SECURITY REASONS, YOU MUST RSVP. WE NEED TO KNOW WHO WILL BE COMING INTO OUR BUILDING. A RSVP IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION.
Please use this link to RSVP for this event by November 5th. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=j0gLqp78hUGl4zhCIN8jyhF-qMX2o-lLhr9SVYTBh8xUNFoxOVpOWkQ0MlE5WDZKSjNXSVdVTUM4SS4u
Any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Schorpp hniemeyerschorpp@cbsd.org
Arrival and Dismissal
The safety of our children is our top priority and we are working with the district and Warrington Police Department to make sure everyone is safe while driving, walking, or riding their bikes to school. We are working on having supervision at both crosswalks on Barness to keep all bike riders and walkers safe to and from school. If your child is a walker or bike rider, please reinforce that they should be using the sidewalks to stay safe. We understand that construction is still occurring on Barness by the North Wales Water Authority and we are working to ensure that construction would not occur during drop off and pick up times.
Thank you for all of your patience, support, and cooperation.

Paws for Pride
Congratulations to last week’s Paws for PRIDE winners: Mrs. Wallace’s 3rd grade class, Christopher C (Mrs. Chrencik), Chase R (Miss Henry), Shane F (Mrs. Snyder), Mia M (Ms Yorczyk), Estelle B (Mr. Lesher), Bailey F (Mrs. London), Rylie D (Mr. Behling), and Mrs. Gillen.
Keep up the great work, tigers and thank you for demonstrating our traits (Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination, and Empathy)!

Red Ribbon Week

Sparks
Welcome back to Sparks. You will be receiving these articles on a regular basis through your building’s newsletter with the goal of career education for all Central Bucks students.
Last spring, the students in grades 3-6 were introduced to Smart Futures. Smart Futures is an online career development platform which focuses on grade-specific activities for students and manages the outcomes of the activities in a portfolio which meets the required PA Career Readiness Standards. Classroom teachers will be working with students in Smart Futures. Last year students in grades 3-6 completed a limited number of activities but this year we will be asking all elementary students to complete the activities for their grade. Any student who chooses, can do the activities in the previous grade band to have a complete portfolio for career readiness. For the most part, students can do the earlier activities independently so it might be an opportunity for you to see Smart Futures at home with your daughter or son. We are asking students not to go beyond the activities assigned to their grade.
SF allows students to discover what they like to do, learn about careers they might want to investigate and even how to develop a budget. To learn more about SF, watch this short video and you can always ask your child to log onto SF to see what they are learning.

HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION INFORMATION
Box Tops
Did you know that you can earn money for Titus just by buying groceries?
That’s right! You can help support the Titus Home and School Association by utilizing the Box Tops for Education program in any (or all) of the following ways!
1) Download the Box Tops for Education App and scan your receipt every time you shop in store.
2) Create an account at www.boxtops4education.com and forward your digital receipts (from online grocery shopping) to receipts@boxtops4education.com for credit.
3) Collect the older “clip” version of Box Tops (the ones you cut out that have an expiration date) and send them to school in a baggie labeled with your child’s teacher’s name. There is a collection box in the main office.
4) Don’t want to bother with the app or email? Send in your grocery receipts to school and we’ll take care of the scanning. Label the receipt with your child’s teacher’s name and have your child place it in the Box Tops collection bin in the main office. (All receipts must be received within 7 days of purchase to allow time for scanning before they expire.)
Every little bit helps! If you have any questions about the Box Tops program or need help with the app, contact Stephanie Wolff at srwolff2@verizon.net.

Race for Education Wrap-Up!
We have officially wrapped up this year's Race for Education! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated and participated. We also want to thank all the parents and caregivers who completed the feedback survey. Your input will help in planning next year's event. As indicated on the survey, we are looking for parents and caregivers who are interested in helping to plan next year's event and will be forming a Race for Education Planning Committee. This committee will review the feedback from parents and staff and help to determine how and when we hold next year's event. Even if you child won't be attending Titus next year, we welcome you to be part of this committee this year. If you are interested in being part of the Race for Education Planning Committee, please click on the link below.
Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who attending the Fall Fest last weekend and the Book Fair this week. It was so wonderful seeing our Titus Families together again. A huge THANK YOU to the committee chairs (Michele Jones, Jennifer Swenson, Katie Cywinski, and Edy Israel) who planned these events, and to the volunteers that helped with set-up, breakdown and everything in between. Without the support of our amazing parent/caregiver volunteers, these events wouldn't be possible.
Committee Chair and Volunteer Meeting (Rescheduled)
We invite all committee chairs, potential committee chairs, and volunteers to join us on Monday, October 18th at 7 p.m. at Titus to learn more about how to get involved in Home & School and the events that we sponsor. We have several committees that still need chairs/co-chairs, open board positions, and volunteers are always needed throughout the school year to help make events run smoothly. If you are interested in volunteering (even if you can't attend the meeting), please click on the link below. We look forward to meeting you on Monday!
Titus T-Shirts are Here!
Titus t-shirts have finally arrived! All students who are new to Titus this year, or who were new to Titus last year and didn't receive a shirt, should have received a Titus t-shirt on behalf of the Home & School Association.
