This Month...
- Professional Development: Candace Eves, our Prevention Specialist, brought in speakers to share about Vaping and how it is affecting our students within the district. She also orchestrated a combined training on Trauma-Informed Care with tips and strategies for working with our students with this approach.
- Jan. 22 -26 was the Great Kindness Challenge across the nation in which GCMS participated. See photos below!
- 8th Graders got a special session on vaping, which we plan to bring to 6th and 7th grade.
- Jan. 30th was our first Mid-Winter Open House. The overall goal of this event was to increase our parent engagement and provide parents with knowledge on how to better help their kids be successful in middle school.
