Happy Memorial Day 2020!
My family and I had a more reserved Memorial Day than originally planned as I broke my ankle last Wednesday. Instead of riding bikes, going for walks and geocaching over the weekend, I've been hobbling around the house on crutches as I am in a splint cast until I see an orthopedic doctor next Friday. I wish I could say my injury came from doing something super exciting and adventurous, but I was just chasing my son around the yard on Wednesday night and rolled my ankle on a newly cut garden bed. Can't believe I got my first broken bone during a pandemic! I am lucky though as it's a small fracture and high ankle sprain, and it already feels 100% better.
Hard to believe it's already the last week of May. Thanks to all of YOU for your continued efforts, energy and engagement during what has been a long 10 weeks. Students, you are doing amazing! Hang in there! We're almost done. Our teachers will continue to put together lesson plans and are hoping all students finish the year strong.

Class Placements & Input for 2020-2021
Our school is committed to providing the best educational environment for all students. To accomplish this, grade level teachers, specialists, and the principal meet each spring to develop new classes for the following year. To achieve optimal learning environments and balanced groupings for all students, many factors are considered. These include:
Academic abilities
Learning needs of the children
Social and emotional needs of children
Balanced boy/girl ratios
Balanced diversity ratios
If we are to provide the best educational program for all children, it is necessary for the school to retain final responsibility regarding student assignments. However, we understand that parents may have important information and input to share about their child that could affect classroom placement. To facilitate this communication, click HERE to complete the Student Information Form. The form must be submitted to the principal by Friday, May 29 for consideration. Please be assured that with or without this information from parents, the staff will review each child’s needs individually and select the classroom in which we believe the child will experience the greatest success.
In the past, we have sent class placement letters out to families on the last day of school. This year we will be holding off until later in the summer to send class placements. A date has not yet been determined. Thanks for understanding.
Thank you for your continued support and as always, should you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to call and/or send Mr. Russell an email any time.
