A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL SCRIVO
We have many exciting events scheduled for our Scotch Families. The first is our Scotch Carnival/Hoedown. This annual PTO event will be held tonight, Friday, March 22nd. This event will include food, rides, games, silent auction and prizes. It will be a wonderful evening for the whole family. For the safety of all our students it is important that all students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Next, our 5th grade boys and girls basketball teams will be participating in the WBSD Elementary School Intramural Basketball Tournament this Saturday, March 23rd. If you have time this weekend, please come out and cheer on our Scotch students. Boys games begins at 9AM, girls games will begin at 11:30AM. Coach Fantich and I hope to see you there!
We will also have some of our 3rd grade students participating in the National Math Pentathlon Tournament this Saturday at Bloomfield Hills High School, in Bloomfield Hills. Math Pentathlon uses problem-solving games to make math enjoyable for all students, parents, and teachers. It is a highly motivational way for students to gain math fluency in computational, spatial and logical reasoning. Good luck goes out to all of our 3rd grade students that are participating. Thank you for representing Scotch and most importantly have fun!
Finally, our Scotch students did a wonderful job selling pizza kits to raise funds for their Camp Tanuga trip in June. I would like to take a moment to thank all the parents that purchased or donated to our 5th Grade Little Caesars fundraiser. It was a huge success! I would also like to thank Jennifer Amato for all her hard work and dedication chairing this fundraising event, and all the parents that volunteered to helped her on delivery day. Enjoy your delicious pizza!

MUSIC AT SCOTCH - 3RD GRADE!
Our 3rd Grade music concert will be held on Wednesday, March 27, at 6:00pm, entitled, “Right Here in Michigan.” Attire for the performance will be “dressy.” Have the students wear their best clothes for this concert. Dresses and suits would be great, but whatever they have in their closet that is their best is what we are shooting for.
