7 rules on Digital Citizenship
2.Never give your personal information away or to an unknown website. This can lead to identity theft . Think of it like this, would you give your credit card information or your password for your bank account to a random stranger.
3.Don't chat with people you or your friends don't know. This means don't enter a chat with a complete stranger because they can hurt your feelings or can get information that is important to you.
4.If anyone makes you feel bad online, tell an adult or parent about this. This rule will help stop people from stealing your identity and making you feel bad.
5.Never fight back against a cyber bully. They just want to get a reaction out of you so, why play into their hands?
6. Never copy things word for word from an article or a book for a book report or an assignment unless the author or owner allows you to. Plagiarizing can get you into a lot of trouble in school by either failing a class or getting kicked out of school. Plagiarizing can also get you in trouble with the Federal Government and you could get arrested for just copying something down that isn't yours.
7. Copyright is the right a creator or an inventor has. This means that if you made a song from scratch, you would be responsible for what happens to it and who can distribute it. You are the person in charge of who can and can't see it and distribute it or even just look at it.

Q:Why is it necessary for everyone to understand and display positive digital citizenship?
A: It is necessary for everyone to understand and display positive digital citizenship because being nice on the internet is something that is important for everyone because if you tease someone on the internet, you might think of it as a joke, but the person you are teasing probably not take it as a joke and take it seriously. This has happened a lot and have put kids in danger. It is really sad to see that people would do stuff like this just to get a laugh but it really is serious.
