The last week in review...
My "awesome" of the quarter was seeing our stands full again. The goal for this school year was to have more students, families, and community members come and cheer on our teams. YOU ARE DOING IT! I can't wait to see what the basketball stands look like. I am SO PROUD to be your Principal!
"Anonymous Student Reporting" This is where if you see something you need to say something. It is completely anonymous. https://www.earlvillecusd9.org/page/student-help-desk
GREAT NEWS! The tunnel lid is fixed, now we are working on the walls. Please use the front doors of the old gym if you are going to the cafeteria for breakfast.
JH Basketball and JH Cheerleading has started, I can't wait to see the JH stands full! Our 1st game is on Monday.
Make sure you are marking your calendars for all the fun and exciting events that are planned. We hope to see you at the games cheering on the teams! We are doing a great job on this. The stands are becoming full and full of excitement! Keep it up!
Academy topic for last week:
This week we are going to discuss verbal and non verbal communication.
Academy topic for next week:
Social Media and its strengths vs weakness
October Student of the Month:
Huge D2E shoutout to Senior Lexie Campbell, Daughter of Jeff and Missy Campbell, for being selected as Earlville High School's October Student of the Month. Lexie was selected based on academic performance, character, effort, and social relationships. Some of the teacher comments include but are not limited to; "Lexie is a leader in the classroom, she works hard and is creative," "Lexie works hard and is persistent," "I nominate Lexie based on her loyalty, compassion, and good citizenship." She earned a $5 gift card and a preferred parking spot.

Important Information and Reminders
Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Thank you to everyone that was able to attend. If you were unable to attend I will be mailing your child's test scores this week. We appreciate you continuing to check Skyward and stay up to date on your child's grades, attendance, etc. You are D2E!
All School Eligibility for 9th - 12th
I will be meeting with the students on 10/24 to discuss their eligibility. EVERY child will come home with a parent letter explaining their points and if they are eligible or not. Please make sure you ask your child for the paper.
Lexia for 6th - 8th Grade
The students are doing great! Our school is doing above level work and mastering skills at an extremely quick rate. This program is used to "fill gaps" in the students learning. Every Monday they are rewarded for meeting their usage, and "leveling" up. Ask your child how they are doing.
Coffee with the Principal:
I would like to get you as parents more involved and updated. I am thinking of doing a "Coffee with the Principal" once a month. At this I will discuss different topics that pertain to junior high and high school students. I would like feedback from you about topics and if this would be something that would be of value for our community. Please fill out the short survey if you are interested. https://forms.gle/XM58PwKYEZjrnjCo8
