Level Creek Elementary
Letter from the Presidents
As we wind down the school year, we reflect on what a successful year we’ve had! We increased our membership this year more than ever before! This is fantastic, and we applaud you as you continue to show your support by taking care of our teachers and staff, volunteering at PTA and other school events, and supporting the classroom teachers by going on field trips and being in the classroom. We are also thrilled with the number of new parents who have gotten involved in PTA this year as committee chairs and/or room parents. We strengthen our already great school by having our parents involved!
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for sending in $5 gift cards for the support staff. We were able to give each of them a very nice gift, and that’s all thanks to you! All staff also enjoyed a very nice luncheon provided by the PTA on Wednesday during Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you to those who sent in homemade desserts—the teachers loved them!
As we look to next year, we always hope to continue to strengthen our PTA. The Nominating Committee is currently looking for interested candidates for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The committee will present their recommended slate of officers at the May 9th General Membership meeting.
This meeting will be held in between the 2 chorus events at the Spring Chorus concert. This will be our final General Membership meeting of the year, and 2016-2017 officers will be elected during this meeting. There will be several committee chair positions available for next year as well. Please feel free to contact us, if you are interested in more information regarding any of these openings.
Thank you again for a wonderful year! We are grateful to serve such a wonderful, supportive group of teachers, students, and parents!

Creative Support Desk
New volunteers are needed for the Creative Support Desk! We help the teachers create instructional materials. This can include cutting, laminating, stapling, or assembling booklets or project. The teachers will need a lot of help with these tasks as the end of the school year approaches. Volunteer as little as one hour per month! E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the list or receive more information.
Faculty and Staff
The Faculty and Staff Committee would like to thank all the volunteers that made the Early Release day lunches in February such successes! The teachers and staff enjoyed them very much. Also, the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon was held on March 16th and was a huge success! The delicious meal was catered by Katie’s Café. Thank you to all of those who sent in desserts for the LCE teachers and staff to enjoy. They were yummy!
Also, thank you for sending in the gift cards for the support staff. Each specials area teacher and support staff personnel was delivered a special gift bag of gift cards to show our appreciation for all they do! Once again it is a pleasure to “treat” the extraordinary teachers and staff here at LCE – thank you for helping make it possible!
This was a great year for the LCE Science Fair! We had so many wonderful projects and experiments. All the students did a great job and we hope they continue their scientific endeavors.
On February 26th, 5 students attended the Gwinnett County Regional Science Fair. The students: Suraj C., Jack H., Jonathan L., Mrinali P. and Shivani S. all placed second at the county level!
We are so proud of all our young scientists and we look forward to next year’s LCE Science Fair!
