Welcome Back Scholars!

Principal's Corner

I want to welcome you all back to School for 2020-2021. This isn't the start of the year that we were hoping for, however we are committed to making this year a great educational experience for our students. This is truly an uncharted path ahead that will require a lot of communication and I ask that all families update their information in Parentvue. As BSD and the staff of HPMS continue to finalize plans, updates will be sent out as soon as they are available.

Our dedicated staff at HPMS are very excited for this year of learning together. Through summer, many of our teachers have been involved in professional development to help make remote learning strong. During the weeks of August 31 - September 11, we will be collaborating as a full staff around the important topics of remote learning, and equity education. We are committed to doing everything we can to make the learning at HPMS meet the expectations of our families.

Below you will find several links to help you prepare for the start of the year. A key activity you should do with your student right now is have them log into their Canvas account. Students will be expected to log into Canvas daily in order to stay up in all of their classes.

We look forward to kicking off the school year together on September 14th! Until then, make sure students are reading, exercising, and accessing Dreambox every day.

Sincerely,

Curtis Semana

Grade level welcome parades!

We hope you can join us on September 8,9, or 10th at HPMS! Staff will be lined up in the front parking lot with signs to cheer on and welcome our students.

Families, we ask that you attend during the window of time above. You will drive through the lot to the cheering HP staff. If you are able to put a sign on your car with your student's name and grade that would help us personalize our cheering.

All families and students need to remain in cars during the event for safety.

We look forward to seeing you!
