Ordean East Middle School News
Vol. 3 Issue 1 ~ August 9, 2021
How do I get ready for the new year?
All 6th-8th grade students will be issued a school Chromebook, after there is verification that the COPPA form has been completed by a parent or guardian. That form is included in new student registration information and it will be sent electronically to all current ISD709 families next week. A separate COPPA form must be completed for every student.
Since we will be doing school in person, there is a need for traditional school supplies, in addition to a Chromebook. They are listed below by grade level. Having a backpack large enough to carry your Chromebook to and from school will be convenient.
If you or someone you know could use some support getting school supplies or a new backpack, please contact the school. We have received a generous donation from local community members and would love to help you out.
A paper copy student planner will be given to each student on the first day of school. You do not need to purchase a student planner.
There will be more information about the start of the year coming soon!

Hello OEMS Families! We are looking forward to the upcoming year and will continue to
provide opportunities and resources to our school community in this ever changing

community with a Chromebook donation and teacher/staff appreciation events. We hope
2021-22 will resemble our pre-pandemic year which included
● Fall Fest (over 500 students)
● $1000 in grants to teachers
● Student activity scholarships
● Conference dinners for OEMS staff
