Nurse News

We will begin state mandated screenings for 7th grade students ONLY for vision and hearing starting next week. This process might take a few weeks to get through all students, so please be patient if we haven’t screened your student yet.

We will be screening all students in Athletics before school during their Athletics period on 11/3 and 11/4.

If your student wears glasses, please make sure they bring them to school as usual so they can be screened with these on. Let Nurse Jessica know if you have any questions. Thanks!

MISD Covid Testing

McKinney ISD has partnered with GeneIQ to provide COVID testing for MISD staff, students, and families of MISD staff and students. Gene IQ is an approved vaccinator in the state of Texas and provides vaccination services in accordance of state and CDC guidelines, and

GeneIQ is also a molecular diagnostics laboratory that provides PCR COVID-19 testing and collection of these. Testing will be available Monday thru Thursday beginning October 25th from 10:00 AM to 7:00PM. This is subject to change dependent on the number of people using the service. Testing is by appointment only. Testing will be on the North Side of the stadium parking lot outside of the building.

If you have been exposed to Covid-19 or if you are symptomatic, use the following link to schedule an appointment:

Laptop Fees

The deadline for the annual 1:The World assurance fee will be noon on Thursday, November 18th. Students with unpaid fees will be restricted to our whitelist of academic resources at 5:00 on this day. Students can continue making payments after this deadline either in person with the CMS bookkeeper or online through HAC. Once payment is recorded in HAC the student's laptop will automatically be freed up to its original internet settings within 24 hours.

Carpool students exit front of building

All carpool students must exit through the front of the building. We can't have pedestrian traffic crossing the bus lane in the back of the school. There is no carpool line behind the school and there should never be pedestrian traffic crossing the bus lane. Students exiting our back doors or crossing bus traffic will be redirected to the front of the building.

Students who live in the neighborhood behind the school and need to cross are being identified and given instructions to get home safely.
