Whoop! Alot of great things going on here in Edgewood!


Pre K Roundup - Please check our website mainpage or give our Elementary campus a call for more information about Pre K Roundup! This is our chance to find and sign up our iddie bittie bulldogs for next year's Pre K Program.


April is child Abuse Awareness Month - have you seen the blue pinwheels all around Bulldog Nation? The pinwheels are a fundraiser by our Van Zandt County Child Advocacy Center to help bring attention to Child Abuse Awareness Month. High School Prom - scheduled for Saturday, April 7th...Wildflower Event Center...Emory, TX


Easter Egg Hunt - Elementary Easter egg hunt scheduled for Thursday, March 29. Please see the website mainpage slide or call the Elementary school for more information.


Bulldog Basketball Awards - Congrats to Senior TErwin for being named to the Texas 3A All Star Team and to Coach Jameson for being named the 2018 West All Star Team Coach. Proud of You!!

Hello Bulldog Nation and happy March!

Just 10-20 a minutes can make a HUGE difference...so get out there and READ Bulldogs!


Spring Break. Remember that Spring Break is just around the corner! No school for students or staff members Monday, March 12th - Friday, March 16.


High School Athletics. Our Bulldogs continue to make Edgewood PROUD! The high school girls basketball team finished out as District Champions and Bi-District Champions...Congratulations on a great season! The boys basketball team is still rolling. They finished out district play as District Champions...defeated Uplift Academy in Bi-District play, defeated Pottsboro to win Area, and defeated Van Alstyne to win Regional Quarter Finals. Come out and cheer on your Bulldogs as they meet up with Troup on Friday, March 2 at Rockwall Heath High School in the State Regional Semi-Final Game! Baseball and softball, along with tennis, track and golf are also off and rolling...good luck Dogs!


Cheerleader Tryouts. Remember that cheerleader tryouts will be held on Friday, March 9th for middle school and high school. The mandatory parent meetings have already occurred but remember that packets are required to be returned by March 2nd. Please see our website or contact the middle school or high school front office for more information.


One Act Play. Good luck to our high school One Act Play as they compete on March 10th.


School Holiday...Friday, March 30. Reminder that Friday, March 30 is a scheduled school holiday. At this time Edgewood ISD is NOT planning on having to use this day as a Bad Weather Make up day.


Intermediate School Spelling Bee. Put it on your calendars! Our Intermediate kiddos will be hold a Spelling Bee on Thursday, March 22nd. Good luck to all students...hope you S-P-E-L-L all your words C-O-R-R-E-C-T-L-Y!!

Young Farmers Dinner and Auction. Thank You to all who attended our Young Farmers Dinner and Auction this past Saturday evening. Wow, what a turnout!! Good food and great people make for a winning combination!


Congratulations to our Bulldog Basketball Teams! Congrats to our Middle School basketball teams for a GREAT season...7th Grade Girls - District Champions, 8th Grade Girls - District Runner Up, 7th Grade Boys - District Runner Up, 8th Grade Boys - District Champions. High school girls are currently battling it out to see who will finish as District Champions...come out and cheer them on Tuesday (2/6) as they travel to Scurry-Rosser. And lastly, our high school boys team secure the District Championship this past Friday night by defeating Kemp. Congratulations Dogs and GOOD LUCK in the playoffs. Bulldog Tradition!!


Athletic Booster Club Golf Tournament. This year our athletic booster club will be hosting their 1st Golf Tournament to help raise funds for our middle and high school student-athletes. Come out and join in the fun on Monday, February 19tth at the Van Zandt Country Club in Canton. Please see our district website for registration information.

Happy New Year Bulldog Nation!!


Happy 2018 to everyone! The new year and the new semester is off and rolling here in your Edgewood Schools!


Reading Reminder. Reminder that the new year is a perfect time to continue Reading to our "Ittie Bittie Bulldogs". Spending 10-20 minutes a night reading to your children will significantly improve their vocabulary and reading skills. You'll be amazed at how quickly they will begin Reading to YOU!!


Report Cards for 2nd Grading Period. Quick reminder that student report cards will be mailed out Friday, January 12, 2018.


Student Holiday - Faculty/Staff Work Day. Please remember that next Monday (Jan. 15) is a a student holiday...NO school for students on this day.


Basketball. Our middle school and high girls and boys basketball teams are now into district play...and doing VERY, VERY WELL! Go Dogs! Schedules can be found on our website at www.edgewood-isd.net . High school girls and boys schedule "Business Cards" can also be picked up at the high school basketball game admission table.


Ft. Worth Stock Show. Good luck to our kiddos traveling to the Fort Worth Stock Show this weekend!


Young Farmers Auction and Dinner. Remember to put this on your calendars! On Saturday, February 3rd beginning at 6:00pm...our Young Farmers will hold their annual project auction and dinner. Food will be great as always...would love to see you there!

Hello Bulldog Nation and Happy Holidays! Know our kiddos are anxiously anticipating the upcoming Holiday Break...from all of us here in Edgewood ISD...we hope you have a wonderful Holiday Break!



Christmas Holiday. Please remember that our students will be released at 1:00pm on Wednesday, Dec 20 and there will be NO SCHOOL from Dec 21 - Jan 5. Students will return to school on Monday, January 8 for the start of 2nd Semester!!


Student Holiday - Monday, January, 15. Reminder that Monday, January 15 is a STUDENT HOLIDAY.


Shrek! The Musical. Happy to see so many of you at our high school's production of Shrek! The Musical. Students did an absolutely WONDERFUL job and Thank You for all who attended.


High School Fall Sports Banquet. Reminder that our Athletic Booster Club will be hosting our Fall Sports Banquet in the Middle School Gymnasium on Monday, January 8, 2018...6:30PM...Middle School Gymnasium.

Hello and Happy Holidays!


Hope this message finds each of you having a wonderful Holiday Season! Here are a few items to help keep you informed about what's going on here in your schools!


Christmas Holiday. Please remember that our students will be released at 1:00pm on Wednesday, Dec 20 and there will be NO SCHOOL from Dec 21 - Jan 5. Students will return to school on Monday, January 8 for the start of 2nd Semester!!


Student Holiday - Monday, January, 15. Reminder that Monday, January 15 is a STUDENT HOLIDAY.


Book Fair. Know you guys already know about this...but our Holiday Book Fair is going on now at our Elementary School Library!


Elementary Mobile Dairy. Our K-5 students will have the opportunity to learn about the Dairy process on December 5th when the Mobile Dairy comes to Bulldog Nation! This program should be very educational for our Little Dogs!


Community Christmas in the Park - December 16. Know it's a little early, but we are trying to help spread the word that the city of Edgewood's annual Christmas in the Park has been scheduled for Saturday, December 16th.


Congratulations to Volleyball and Football! Congratulations to all our volleyball and football teams for GREAT seasons! Our Bulldog Middle School Teams did well in district play and finished out their seasons strong. High school Volleyball had a great season and advanced to Bi-District Playoffs...and high school football finished well by advancing to Area Playoffs! Bulldog Proud!!


Basketball Season is here! Letting Bulldog Nation know that basketball season is officially here. Both high school teams are off to a STRONG start and Edgewood's annual basketball tournaments are quickly approaching. The high school boys tournament is this week...Nov 30 - Dec 2. And our high school girls tournament is next week...Dec 7-Dec 9. Good Luck Dogs!


High School Musical - Shrek! Don't forget about Shrek! The Musical...coming to our Elementary Gymnasium on Saturday 12-16 and Sunday 12-17

Hello Bulldog Nation!


October is quickly coming to a close with Halloween just around the corner! Here is some quick information to help keep everyone up to date!



Community Halloween Carnival - October 28 - 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Don't forget that this coming Saturday (10/28) our annual community Halloween Carnival will be located here at the High School. Bring your family and come out and enjoy an evening of fun! If you are interested in setting up a carnival booth for the evening, please contact the high school front office for more information at 903-896-4332, extension 8091.


Community Heritage Park Festival - November 11. Know you are looking forward to this...so go ahead and get it on your family's calendar for Saturday, November, 11, 2017! Please contact the town of Edgewood city offices for more information.


Community Christmas in the Park - December 16. Know it's a little early, but we are trying to help spread the word that the city of Edgewood's annual Christmas in the Park has been scheduled for Saturday, December 16th.


High School Cross Country. Congratulations to our high school cross country girls team and N. Smith for advancing to the Regional Meet. The Regional meet was held in Arlington on Monday, October 23rd...our girls team ran very well and N. Smith finished 10th overall!!! His top 10 finish advances him to the State Meet on Saturday, November 4th! Whoop!


High School Volleyball Playoffs. Way to go Volleyball! Bi District Playoff game vs. Sunnyvale on Tuesday, October 31st...7:00pm...at Kaufman High School. Playoff t-shirts are on sale at the high school until Friday, October 27. Whoop!!


Pink Out Football Game. Our high school is inviting everyone to wear Pink to this Friday's (10/27) football game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!


FFA. FFA brings home big awards from the State Fair of Texas:

E. Wilcoxson, C. Bowden, B. Pierce placed 1st in their class and won the Wild Life Division Championship with a 16 foot Wabanaki Cypress Canoe. And C. Seay and J. Bannister placed 2nd in their class with a 12 Foot Pecan Dining Table. K. Seale and C. Westberry received a blue ribbon with their fire pit R. Bennett, A. Campbell, K. Pounds received a Blue Ribbon with their open top grill. Great Job!!

Bulldog Radio. Did you know you can go online and listen to certain Bulldog athletic events? Now you can listen to the game even if you cannot attend the game! Simply go to www.edgewoodbulldogradio.com on the night of the game and help cheer on the Bulldogs!


RISE - Student Motivation. Just and FYI to Bulldog nation...on Thursday, October 12th, Edgewood High School Alumnus SMU Head Football Coach Chad Morris will present "Small town...Big Vision" to our Edgewood ISD Middle School and High School students. Welcome back Coach Morris!


End of the First Grading Period. Quick reminder that Friday, October 13th ends this school year's first grading period. Parents will receive report cards by the end of the following week.

Congratulations High School Cross Country Teams! Quick Bulldog "Way to Go" to our high school cross country students. N. Smith placed in the top 10 in District Competition and advanced individually to Regionals. And two our our girls placed in the top 10 (C. James #1 overall district time!!!, and S. Baker #9), and the entire girls team placed second in District Competition to advance as a team to Regionals! Bulldog Proud!


National Honor Society. Each year our high school campus inducts our top academic students into the National Honor Society (NHS). This organization is open to our high school Junior and Senior students who display the highest national and state levels of academic accomplishment and local civic service. Congratulations to this year's inductees and returning NHS Students!


Homecoming Week THANK YOU! Great big Bulldog THANK YOU to all the students, parents, and community members that participated in this year's Homecoming Festivities! Wow...absolutely GREAT turnout for our Tailgates & Touchdown Bonfire...hotdogs, lawn chairs, neon colors, music, pep rally, bonfire, and fireworks!! Great Night! Also a big THANK YOU to our campus faculty and staff for all your hard work with your campus entryway competitions. This year's homecoming theme was "There's no place like home!"...we had Wicked Witches, Ruby Slippers, and Yellow Brick Roads galore!!!
