You Did It!
You completed your first week of comprehensive distance learning! Though I’m sure you all had your moments and I know it’s been a heavy lift, give yourself some grace. Your students are so fortunate to have all of you amazing teachers looking out for them and striving to bring them your best each day!
Know I’m here to support you. Read on to find out ways I can take the burden off your shoulders and for resources to support your teaching. I’m eager to help.
Warmly,
Amy Page
Digital Citizenship
Now more than ever our students need to be taught how to be safe, respectful, and responsible online? Here are two great resources to get you started:
Common Sense Media for Educators is a wonderful resource for educators and parents. They have new, short, self-guided resources for students created just for distance learning! You can find K-5 lessons here and 6-12 activities here. They also link to games where students can practice their new skills!
“Be Internet Awesome” is Google’s digital citizenship program. The program is game-based and kids find it engaging. There are great educator resources too!
Literacy Help is on the Way!
Maker Space:
Share these fun resources to engage students in some hands-on learning after a day of being online.
