Math
Daily Math Practice Set 18
We are working with decimals and relating them to fractions. We will also be adding and subtracting decimals. Money is a great way to relate to our study since students are already familiar with money and coin concepts. Below are some notes about decimals to study.
Multiplication.com, We will be testing this Friday facts up to 6x9!
Math Logs from 1/18-2/19 They should be practicing equivalent fractions. Below I have linked a copy of the study guide.
Homework will be given Tuesday and will be due Friday: SAB U6 pg 47-48

Science
We will be designing an experiment to test the effect of force on an
object such as a push or a pull, gravity, friction, or magnetism.

We will be continuing with adverbs and reviewing previous grammar skills.
Spelling
We will be using this frequently misspelled word list for our spelling words for the next 2 weeks. Feel free to study ahead. The more our students see these words, the more they will write them correctly.

Reading
Our class chapter book, "Out of My Mind” is about to come to an end. It has been an exciting book and the students have enjoyed hearing about Melody’s journeys.
We will spend more time finding the main idea and details in a story.
*Don’t forget-January Reading Log due Monday, February 1st.
Writing
Our expository writing “Why students need a recess break at school" is coming along. We will work on good conclusions for the essay.
