Hawk Happenings!
Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy
Happy Wednesday!
Dear Families,
I hope you are all having a wonderful Holy Week. Just a few short days until the blessings of Easter are upon us. Time is going so quickly. When we return from Spring Break, we will be in May! That means, May Crowning, the Auction, MAP testing, and so much more!
Speaking of the auction, we are in need of your help. This is our final big event of the year. Our budgeted goal for this event is $50,000. I was talking with our staff yesterday about the importance of this fundraiser. We need everyone's help to make it a success. That means both volunteers and paying guests! Right now, we have few volunteers and not too many tickets sold. This is a real problem!! The money we make at this event is used to supplement our budget from teacher/staff salaries to curriculum materials, electricity, and everything in between.
It is important to remember that the actual cost to educate every child in our care is $7,150. So, even our "full pay" families who are not on financial assistance are still receiving a subsidy of $1,100 per child (K-8) to fill the gap between the full pay tuition amount of $6050 and the actual cost of $7150. If you are receiving a financial aid package, the gap is even larger. We want to continue to keep our tuition reasonable, while providing a high-quality dual-language program, but we need you to make it all work! So, please help support our school by purchasing tickets to come to the event, bringing family and friends, or volunteering. All tickets MUST be purchased by Monday, April 29th. The link is: https://hrba.ejoinme.org/auction2019_tickets Help us spread the word.
Thank you for your help and have a wonderful week! Don't forget to join us for Living Stations on Friday at 10:30 and then we have a 12 pm dismissal with NO Extended Care.

The cost to participate will be $50 due May 1st. Forms to participate will be provided.
Please save these dates if you are interested in participating.
Practices will be from 3pm-5pm and 5:15pm -7:15pm, May 13-May 17th. Not all students will be needed at both practices.
Performances will be on Friday evening, May 17th at 6:30pm and Saturday, May 18th at 3pm. Students will need to arrive by 1:30pm for the Saturday performance.
VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two host families to host each actor from May 12th – May 19th. The only requirement is that they have their own room. However, one of the actors is allergic to cats.
