Science
Observe and describe the physical characteristics of environments and how they support populations (Feb. 22- March 4- 9 days)
Identify and describe the flow of energy in a food chain and predict how changes in the food chain affect the ecosystem (March 7- March 25- 10 days)
Describe environmental changes such as floods where some organisms thrive while others perish (March 28- April- 8- 10 days)
Social Studies
5 (A) identify ways of earning, spending, saving, and donating money; and 5 (B) create a simple budget that allocates money for spending and saving. 6 (A) explain how supply and demand affect the price of a good or service; 6 (B) define and identify examples of scarcity; 6 (C) explain how the cost of production and selling price affect profits 13 (A) identify individuals who have discovered scientific breakthroughs or created or invented new technology such as Jonas Salk, Cyrus McCormick, Bill Gates, Louis Pasteur, and others; and 13 (B) describe the impact of scientific breakthroughs and new technology in computers, pasteurization, and medical vaccines on various communities.

Your child should have received an envelope explaining our School Store fundraiser. Remember to shop online through SchoolStore.com to earn your child and our school more prizes!
Reminders
- Students need their own personal earbuds for their chromebooks.
- Chromebooks need to be charged to 100% every night to be prepared for the day's learning.
- Because of changing temperatures, please make sure your child has a coat on cold days. If your child needs a coat, let us know.
- Remember to sign the behavior chart every night and check for papers in the folder.
