Navigation
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense. Military actions was the original intent for GPS, however in the 1980s, the U.S. government decided to allow the GPS program to be used by civilians. Weather conditions do not effect the ability for GPS to work. The systems works 24/7 anywhere in the world. There are no subscription fees or setup charges to use GPS.
