OLVCS Updates
December 16, 2022
Dear Families and Friends of Our Lady of Victory Catholic School,
Thank you for your patience and help with the Flexible Instruction Day and 2-hour delay. It’s nice to have a change in the schedule now and then, but I know that learning at home has its challenges and I am appreciative of all of the extra efforts required.
Please see rest of the newsletter for some important events wrapping up the year and our lunch menu for the new year.
With only three more days of school before our Christmas Break, I will not send another newsletter this calendar year. I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I hope that this last week of Advent gives your family the chance to prepare your home and hearts for a truly memorable and gratifying Christmas.
Warm regards,
Jim Hoy
“Exiled from the earth, our Lord is born under the earth, for the stable was in a cave. He was the first caveman of recorded history, and there he shook the earth to its very foundations. Because he’s born in a cave, all who wish to see him must be bend, must stoop, the stoop is the mark of humility. The proud refuse to stoop. Therefore, they miss divinity. Those, however, who are willing to risk bending their egos to go into that cave, find that they are not in a cave at all; but they are in a universe where sits a babe on his mother’s lap, the babe who made the world.”

Crusaders Take On Red Raiders and Belleville Thunder
Last Friday both of our basketball teams played against the teams from Bellefonte . The girls played at home and put up a good fight. But, in the end Bellefonte won, 33 to 21. The boys team traveled to Bellefonte. They too lost to the Red Raiders. The score of the B game was 18 to 41. The A game score was 32 to 57.
Both teams traveled to the Big Valley on Tuesday to take on the teams from Belleville Mennonite School. Both teams were victorious! The score of the girls game was 18 to 17. The score of the boys game was 37 to 14.
Be sure to make time to come out and see our Crusader teams in action. Schedule can be found on the website calendar.
