Mrs. Walters' News
Monday is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We do have school. Every classroom will participate in some learning and appreciation of Dr. King's work and mission in our country. I am so thankful for his dream for all children to feel belonging and special in the eyes of every person they encounter. While we still have work to do in this area as a society, at Bushnell I am certain our students feel safe and special every day.
We are currently in need of hats, mittens and snow pants! If you would be so kind to donate some, they would be greatly appreciated so we can keep our Bushnell Bears warm!
Being Michiganders we all know how our weather can swing from one extreme to the next. Please continue to send your child to school with full snow gear each day so they are ready for whatever comes. We try to get our children outside as much as possible and only remain inside if it is actively raining or if the temperature is below 0 degrees! Brrrrrrr!!!!
January is School Board Recognition month! Please join me in thanking our amazing group of community leaders who help us guide our district to be extradinary in academics, citizenship and fiscal responsibility. Lowell Area Schools is lucky to have such dedicated memberson our board.
We have had several illnesses running through students and staff. Please, please, please! Do not send your child to school if they have a fever! If they do have a fever, either at home or at school, they are to remain at home for 24 hours after being fever free without medication.
We are in need of donations for our PBIS prize cart that students purchase things from every other Friday. If you have any stuffed animals, toys, art supplies, bouncy balls- really anything- that you would like to donate, please send in with your child or drop off in the office!

Happy New Year!
We are going to be doing a SUPPLY DRIVE in each building. As the year progress the supplies in each classroom start to dwindle and we want to make sure that all the teachers and students have what they need to finish the year strong. A list will be published soon as to what the most requested items are. There will be a drop container in each building. Be on the lookout for more details in the next week.
If you have any questions about the PTO or are looking for ways to be involved please contact us via email, bushnellccepto@gmail.com or on Facebook at Bushnell-CCE PTO.
