Parkview Artists Shine
We are proud to announce that Ola Baker received the 2nd place award in the Atlanta High School Art Exhibit Art Show that takes place in conjunction with the Dogwood Art Festival. She also received the J.L.Brooks Art Achievement Award from the Georgia Watercolor Society.
Her art, along with the amazing digital art of Ava Burton, will be on display in a "mini" show for the top 31 works at the Art Institute of Atlanta along with other award winners. Reception is March 18th at 2pm.
Ava, Ola and our other Parkview artists will also have their artwork on display at the Dogwood Art festival during the weekend of April 14th. It's such a fun festival I encourage you to go and see all of the amazing High School art work at this show (the building is right next to Willies in the park).

JV Mock Trial Team Take 3rd Place to End the Season
Congrats to the Mock Trial JV Team for finishing their season this weekend at the Midtown High competition at the State Bar of Georgia in Atlanta. Best attorney awards were won by Kevin Cruz and best witness by Casey Turner.
This year, Mock Trial built the program up to include a Varsity AND a JV team!! We couldn't have done it without the support of our entire faculty, as well as our amazingly talented students. Our Varsity team did so well last week, and our JV is on their way and holding their own, scoring 3RD PLACE in what for many was their very first competition. We could not be prouder of BOTH of our teams, and look forward to another great season next year!

Tip Of The Week
Are You Running Late to an Appointment?
Remember the quickest way to check out a student is to follow the instructions below.
If a student must leave school before 1:30 for a pre-arranged appointment, the student must check-out at the Attendance Office and follow the procedures below:
- Prior to school starting, the student should provide the Attendance Office with a note from the parent or guardian stating the date, the time requested for the check-out, and the reason.
- The student absence due to checking out will only be excused if it meets one of the GCPS approved reasons.
- The student is then provided with a check-out pass to be shown to the classroom teacher at the time of the check-out. This pass should be brought to the Attendance Office to complete the check out process.
- If the parent cannot be contacted, the student will not be allowed to check out. A parent or guardian must be contacted to grant permission before a student is allowed to leave campus. Students will only be dismissed to the parent or guardian or the emergency contact listed in the Parent Portal. Students who leave campus without following the check out procedures will be considered AWOL from school and disciplined accordingly.
Please remember there are NO CHECKOUTS after 1:30 or over the phone.
For more information of PHS attendance policies, please see our website.
Parent/Guardian Verification Is Mandatory
Did You Know?
The Attendance Office is where you can pick up your ADAP certificate and your Certificate of Enrollment after you order them on MyPaymentsPlus.
Course Registration for 2023/2024
Students are able to see their course requests for the 2023/24 school year through the Student Vue App. If a student/parent requested changes to classes on the paper registration sheet, they can check the StudentVue App periodically over the next two to three weeks to see that the change has been made. The Curriculum Office will be working on these requests over the next couple of weeks.
Please Be On Time Daily
- As a reminder, school begins at 7:15am. We are aware that traffic is heavy. Please leave home early enough to arrive to school and be in 1st period on time. Thank you for helping us have your student to school on time!
- If a student arrives to school after 7:30am, the student MUST check-in through the Attendance Office. If a student needs to leave school for any reason after arriving to school, the student MUST check-out through the Attendance Office. The Attendance Office is located inside the main building lobby.
Don't Forget Your Chromebook
Please remember to bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook Daily! It is important to have these everyday for class use.
Please Don't...
- Bring outside food or have it delivered to anywhere on the school grounds, but please do finish any outside food before you arrive on campus and enter the school.
- Have flowers/balloons/gifts delivered to the school, but please enjoy your celebration at home.
- Expect to check your student out after 1:30, but please do have your student bring a note first thing in the morning so they can get a pass to check-out before 1:30.
