Ninja High School News
April 2023
From the desks of Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Fowler
Happy Spring Ninja Nation!
We are on the home stretch for finishing up the school year and everyone should be busy working hard to stay on track and finish the year strong. This quarter will be busy with completing coursework, end-of-year testing, and celebrations both virtually and in person.
Our enrollment window has opened up for the 2023-2024 school year. Parents and guardians may submit their request for enrollment by visiting the Parent Portal in MyStudent. All students must submit an inquiry to be considered for continuation in the Pasco eSchool High School program. Please update your student's emergency card and contact information in the Parent Portal during re-enrollment. Phone calls, texts, and email are our primary modes of communication here at eSchool, so it is very important that any changes be updated to ensure your family receives the most up-to-date information and communications from our school.

Florida Required Instruction
The State Board of Education works with Florida school districts to develop and monitor plans to provide required instruction through section 1003.42 (2)(n), Florida Statutes. More information about the topics included, as well as Pasco County Schools' plan for implementation, please visit our district's website. A table listing topics, as well as grade levels required to have each topic presented, is attached below.
These topics are embedded into some subjects and courses, and others will be presented through homeroom announcements, special activities, and standalone modules.
Attendance Matters
Attendance Matters
In Pasco eSchool's secondary program attendance in class is demonstrated by submitting work within a 7-day period. Attendance is entered into our student tracking system, myStudent, every Thursday and parents will receive an automated call if a student has not completed at least one assignment in each class.
The goal of these calls is to share this information with parents so they can help students get back on track.
For students who have longer periods of time without work submissions, parents can expect our team to reach out through phone calls and emails, schedule parent conferences, require students to attend virtual extended school day, require students to work on our school's campus, and other attendance interventions.
Our goal is to work with families to ensure that all students are successful learners.
Below is a link to the excused absence form for students who may need an absence excused.
