Other details will be included in the video, but some of it needs to be a surprise! :)
All students will receive envelopes with their graduation certificates, awards won, and a t-shirt designed specifically for them.
On June 16th, Drive-By Event on Bemis Street to pick up envelopes and awards and wave to WMS staff! Details are still being ironed out, and we will get you more information soon. If you are unable to drive-by on this day, we will mail or deliver your 8th-grade envelope/awards.
Summer Programming
In addition, WPS Community Education will offer a FREE virtual and voluntary Summer Explorations Program with 10 weeks of programming for students in grades K-5.
Students will also have the opportunity to continue with self-paced online learning programs such as IXL and i-Ready throughout the summer.
Our Teaching & Learning Team and principals will be sending out more information on summer programming when finalized shortly.
Other important 8th grade information (YEARBOOK, SEMI, CHROMEBOOK)
For those who ordered yearbooks, unfortunately, they are delayed due to the pandemic. As soon as they are in, we will send them out.
Toward the end of the summer, if guidelines allow, we would like to look into having a semi or some other event for this 8th-grade class. We hope to know more about the guidelines in July.
You can keep your Chromebook for the summer. You will have to turn it in once you arrive to the high school in September, so be sure you keep it safe and in good working order! Remember you are BORROWING IT!
If you are NOT attending the high school and want to return it once school is over you may do so!
Talk with Ms. Maroni-Wagner!
