Eugene Field Elementary School
April 10, 2016
Dear Field Families,
State Testing for grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th starts on Monday. If your child is testing, please make sure they get good night's sleep; have a protein-rich breakfast such as eggs, nuts, or yogurt; and arrive at school on time. If a student arrives at school late, it is possible for them to miss the morning testing session and have to make the test up in the afternoon. Also for your information, the morning recess schedule for grades 3-5 will move to 11:00-11:15 during testing.
Open House will be held on May 5, 6:00 - 7:30 pm, and the students will have early dismissal at 12:25pm. Our after school programs will run from dismissal to 6:00, however, they will not be in classrooms. Please look for notices regarding change in location for pick up on May 5.
Our PTA Book Fair is coming up! We are happy to partner with Mrs. Nelson's Book Fair Company for this event. Please see the posting below for more information.
The LEARNs Science Olympiad is this Saturday at Blair Middle School, 8:00am - 3:30pm. It is open to the public for observation, but only students enrolled in LEARNs can participate.
We will start our participation in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) on April 11 and conclude on April 29. All third through fifth grade students will participate in the CAASPP and the fifth graders will take an additional test in Science.
Thank you for your continued support.
