Principal's Update
We've had some challenges in the last couple weeks, but our back-up plans for remote learning and systems of support have continued instruction for our students. We continue to receive frequent questions from families about symptoms and protocols for keeping children home. Your emphasis on monitoring student health and following district procedures have allowed us to manage these recent setbacks.
The fact that we've been in school for sixty-five days, with four-hundred students and sixty staff members and made it this long is a testament to the effectiveness of our safety procedures. Your children do an excellent job wearing their masks and keeping it safe at Hilton.
The end of our first trimester means report cards. Instructions are listed below on how to access your child's progress in MiStar. If accessing items online poses a challenge for your family, you can request a hard copy by calling the school office.
Brighton Ford Toy Drive!
The four elementary schools will be engaged in a friendly competition to see who can collect the most toys for the Toys for Tots program. Students and families can deliver an unwrapped toy to the office or at the event on Wednesday. More details are below. We thank you for your generosity and support of the Toys for Tots program.
Wishing you and your family a healthy, happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
Jeff Eisele
Hilton Principal

Counselor's Corner
Hello from your Elementary Counselor, Mrs. Fox! With October being Anti-Bullying Awareness Month, we spoke with students about how to use our voice. We talked about how to support one another, how to stand up respectfully, and most importantly, how to do it in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable.
Our theme of “Do Something” is carrying into our month of December: GENEROSITY AND ACTS OF KINDNESS. If we can create a culture of kindness in our classrooms, our little learners are more likely to take risks, celebrate their individuality, and grow as people. To deepen this learning, create opportunities at home for spreading kindness and being generous. We know that in order to create a habit, we must create opportunities for repetition.
Lets Connect: If you are noticing some behaviors that are interfering with your child’s success in the classroom, please feel free to complete my parent referral form and we can work together to determine if supports are needed at school.
More Resources: We also have our BAS Elementary Counseling website for ideas and resources to be used at home!
