Kirkwood Arts Foundation Donates $2,000 to Kirkwood High School Music Program After Nicholas Rodriguez Concert
On Thursday, February 1, the Kirkwood Arts Foundation presented a $2,000 donation to the Kirkwood High School music program. The funds were made possible thanks to proceeds from a benefit concert held in November featuring Broadway star Nicholas Rodriguez. The concert was presented by the Kirkwood Arts Foundation and Kirkwood Arts Commission and opened with a short set by the Kirkwood High School Choir.

KSD Celebrates Black History Month
Please meet Debbie Graves-Manns, a KHS 1976 graduate and an inaugural inductee into our Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2009.
Debbie held the original record for the girl's track program in the 200-meter and 100-meter. Her athletic and academic accomplishments took her to continue her career at Truman State University where he earned Alll-American accolades. After graduating from Truman, she returned to Kirkwood schools to serve students as a resource teacher, guidance counselor and track and field coach. Debbie and her husband Hurel, have two daughters, Shayla and Diona, both of whom were KHS graduates and standouts in track and field.

Halls of Fame - Call for Nominations
Nominations
Nominations are now being accepted online for the Kirkwood School District 2024-25 Class of Outstanding Alumni Hall of Fame and Athletic Hall of Fame. To make a nomination, complete and submit the nomination form. It is recommended that you gather all the information before completing the form.
Nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame must be submitted no later than Monday, February 12, 2024. Nominations for the Alumni Hall of Fame must be submitted no later than Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

The Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The inductees will also be recognized during halftime of the Kirkwood Pioneers football game on Friday, September 6, 2024.
The Outstanding Alumni Hall of Fame will be held in Spring 2025.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-25 School Year is Underway!
Calling all 2037 graduates!
Kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 has officially begun! Children who reach the age of 5 before August 1, 2024 are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year.
To register, visit the District’s website at https://www.kirkwoodschools.org/register. For online registration, it is recommended that a laptop computer, desktop computer or tablet device be used to complete your child's registration. Registration using a smartphone is not recommended.
Enrolling now allows time for schools to plan class schedules and maintain desired class sizes. In order to prepare for a successful 2024-25 school year for our students, please register your child online now.

Be sure to get your shirts today, then attend the Pioneer Basketball Games at KHS on February 20th! Girls play at 4:30 PM vs. Rockwood Summit; Boys play at 6:00 PM vs. Hazelwood East.
Diversity Collaborative Hiring Event- February 24
KSD is partnering with several area school districts for an opportunity to network with staff and administrators from the Kirkwood School District, Lindbergh School District, Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District, and the Webster Groves School District. The event will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 9 a.m. in the Kirkwood High School Cafeteria. Advanced registration by Friday, February 16 is encouraged. Many Cultures One Kirkwood - Friday, March 1
This grand celebration of world cultures will take place on Friday, March 1st from 6-8 pm in the gym/cafeteria at North Kirkwood Middle School, 11287 Manchester Road. If you are interested in participating or volunteering for the event, please sign up by visiting: kirkwoodschools.org/manycultures.
League of Women Voters Candidate Forum - March 13
A candidate forum by the League of Women Voters is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Keating Theatre at KHS.
