Read-A-Thon 2022: The Read-A-Thon continues until March 31st. Spring Break is the perfect time to read books. If you have friends and family who would like to sponsor your child and support our school they can go to http://pledgestar.com/twinoaks. The school goals are 35,000 minutes read and $4,000 earned. If we meet the funding goal we will be purchasing an Inchy's Bookworm Vending Machine. If we meet the goal for minutes read, the students get to vote to determine if I am going to kiss a pig or get green slimed! I will do almost anything for this school!
Twin Oaks Apparel: If you are interested in purchasing Twin Oaks t-shirts or sweatshirts the order is on March 18th. There will be other opportunities.
Important Dates:
Remember - there is no school for students on Friday, March 18th
Spring Break ~ March 21st - 25th
Hoping your family has a wonderful Spring Break!
Ms. Denisa Taylor

Nominate "A Champion in Education" Today!
Who is your champion in education? An inspiring teacher? An encouraging school secretary? A caring school counselor or nurse? A problem-solving tech support staff member? A dedicated nutrition services staff member? A bus driver who always takes the time to listen? A principal who is an inspirational leader?
Now is the time to recognize their contributions by nominating them for an ACE (A Champion in Education) Award!
To learn more and nominate a 4J employee or volunteer, visit 4j.lane.edu/2022-ACE. The nomination deadline is March 31. (Note about volunteers: A small number of volunteers performing essential services have been permitted in schools this year. Though a much smaller force, their assistance is deeply valued.)
One nominee in each of the four categories (teachers & licensed specialists, classified staff, administrators, and volunteers), will be named an ACE Award champion and win a $250 grant from the Eugene Education Foundation for the 4J school or program of their choosing. Every nominee will be recognized as an exceptional educator at the virtual awards ceremony.
Join us in celebration of our amazing educators and cheer on the nominees at the virtual awards ceremony on May 10 at 6 p.m. (Watch for details)
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact 4J Communications at johnson_hi@4j.lane.edu.
