Sixth Grade Newsletter
May 29, 2017
Dear Parents,
Here's what's happening at school this week.
Writing
We will finish our two-week multi genre project this week. Students can choose their own topics. They will research and gather information, and then determine which genres will work best for their topic. Students have a list of genres and a rubric in Google Classroom.
Math
Students spent much of last week working on understanding angles (supplementary, complementary, corresponding, adjacent, etc…) They worked on 2 assignments during the week (Surgeon Doll, and Bulldog.) Both assignments are due on Tuesday.
During the week of May 30th-June 2nd, students will be graphing data and working on more geometry concepts.
Social Studies
6th Grade continues to learn about the continent of Australia as we close our year together!

The Used Book Sale is in the library! Hardcovers are $1, paperbacks fifty cents, and magazines are a quarter. There is a great selection of middle school level books this year!
