Hello Vista Springs Families

What a beautiful week! I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the sun for at least a little bit each day. Did you know that getting some sun gives us the best source of Vitamin D, which helps boost our immune systems and help fight off colds and flu, so get out and enjoy the sun!

Here are some other tips and updates:

• Gratitude makes a difference for all of us!

• Admin Professionals Day - Thank you to the families and staff that made pictures and videos for Ms. Jeni and Ms. Soplin (our amazing front office staff!) They were so touched by all of your good wishes. They definitely miss all of our students! If you didn’t get a chance to send them a picture or a little video of good wishes, please do! Their emails are jeni.magner@springscs.org and dith.soplin@springscs.org

• Appreciation for our Lunch Workers! Thank you for all who made posters and signs for our superheroes who hand out lunches to our community! Mr. Kent, Ms. Torres, Mr. Thorp and Ms. Pam loved the posters and cards-- see the pictures below!

• Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up! May 4-8 is the week to show your love and appreciation! We have a fun flyer attached below with ideas for you to do for your teacher each day of the week--We are telling you now so you can start thinking about ideas now ;) Please send the pictures to Ms.Jeni at jeni.magner@springscs.org by Friday May 1st and she will organize them for each teacher.

• Monday - Take a picture with flowers you would give to your teacher.

• Tuesday - Type a poem or a letter to your teacher telling them how much you appreciate them.

• Wednesday -Draw your favorite memory with your teacher/class

• Thursday - Make a poster or sign & decorate it with a lot of love and smiles!

• Friday - Send a video of you telling us what your teachers mean to you or how they make you feel.

• Promotion- We are in the process of planning a promotion celebration for our Kinders and 8th graders that can maintain safety and social distance. Whatever we do, it will still be special, so keep June 11th saved on your calendar!

• Thursday 12:30, Weekly hangout for parents - Join Ms. Sarah on a weekly hangout to hear any updates with the school and how learning is going, ask any questions or share any ideas or concerns you have, or simply get some support and encouragement from other parents. You all are doing a lot right now and trying to make sure your kids are learning at home can be hard! Join us for encouragement, venting or simply a place to check-in and share ideas each week. Conversation in Spanish and English.

Hola familias de Vista Springs

¡Qué hermosa semana! Espero que haya podido salir y disfrutar del sol al menos un poco cada día. ¿Sabía que tomar un poco de sol nos brinda la mejor fuente de vitamina D, que ayuda a fortalecer nuestro sistema inmunológico y a combatir los resfriados y la gripe, así que salga y disfrute del sol!

• Día de los Profesionales Administradores - Gracias a las familias y al personal que hicieron fotos y videos para la Sra. Jeni y la Sra. Soplin (¡nuestro increíble personal de la oficina!) • Promoción- Estamos en el proceso de planificar una celebración de promoción para nuestros alumnos de kínder y octavo grado, que mantengan la seguridad y la distancia social. Hagamos lo que hagamos, seguirá siendo especial, ¡así que guarde el 11 de junio en su calendario!

• Jueves 12:30, Hangout semanal para padres: únase a la Sra.
