What a successful week of college and career awareness. Thank you teachers for taking the time to decorate your doors! Let's continue the momentum from last week, because truly everyday should be about preparing and getting our students ready for college and the workforce. Thank you for sharing why our students should go to your university, A special thank you to Counselor Morales for putting together a week of interesting and meaningful interactions and activities to raise college awareness among our students and parents.

Helpful Reminders to Parents

  • Teachers pick up students at 7:45 from the gym & auditorium
  • Parents drop off students in front of the auditorium (exception for PreK)
  • Students walk to class by teacher or other staff member
  • Hallways are clear by 7:50
  • Parents are WELCOME to eat lunch with their children
  • Students are released at 2:55
  • For dismissal teachers will bring students out to the bus and auditorium
  • The parking lot is for staff in the morning
  • Please use crosswalks when crossing the street
  • Tardy slips are given in the classroom

  • Shout out to the 2nd grade team for supporting changing their extended planning so that Ms. Spears can attend the Motor Speedway Kickoff.

  • Shout out to Ms. Muro for ensuring our ELL are tested on time
  • Shout out to Ms. Villarreal for an awesome job with LPAC
  • Shout out to Ms. Holguin for her willingness to support our new K-1 classroom

Committees That Make a Difference

On Monday, September 28th, staff will meet in their committees. First, we will begin in library for a quick five minutes. Then, staff member will go to their various committee meetings. Please see Counselor Morales for the list.

These committees will allow us to push forward and support our Key Action #1 School Culture- Foster a school culture system focused on intentional joyful learning every minute of every day.

SLO & PDP

We will continue goal setting conferences this week. We will not have conferences during grade level planning meetings.


GradeSpeed

Please, make sure you continue to submit 3 grades per week. Some of you still need Gradespeed corrections. The A-Team will continue making corrections.


Number of Spots & DTR Eligibility

Effectiveness Level: Minimum # of Spots:

No effectiveness level & Progressing II or below: 10

Proficient I & DTR-Eligible: 8

Distinguished (Proficient II and above): 6

*You will be informed about whether you can apply for DTR, per TEI, in the coming week. TEI emailed information about the qualifications this past week.
