From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Shiloh Families,

I hope that each of you had a wonderful week and was able to attend one or more of the exciting events we held throughout the cluster this week! The Shiloh Middle School Boys Basketball Team reigns as the Eastern Division Champions and will compete in the Championship Game against Jones Middle School on Tuesday at 7pm at Archer High School! Let's pack the house! Our students also participated in the Shiloh Cluster Showcase, held at Shiloh High School this week. Shiloh Middle School's Art students, JLC, FBLA, TSA, Orchestra and Step Teams showcased their talents. I am extremely proud of the high levels of engagement our students have both, within our school and throughout the school community. Our JLC students visited the MLK center this week and engaged in leadership discussions with their peers from other districts that were both inspiring and empowering. They expressed to me that they were extremely excited to have the opportunity to hear presentations from members of the King family. We also welcomed our rising 6th grade parents for an informational meeting and school tour this week. They were able to learn about the great academic and extra-curricular activities we offer at Shiloh. We had a great turnout and our students and families were excited about their upcoming middle school experience.

The Shiloh Middle School Step Team has been invited to showcase its talent at the HBCU/Divine 9 Celebration on Friday, Feb. 21 sponsored by Gwinnett County Library, held at Berean Church. Please see the attached flyer and come out and support our team!

Additionally, we are celebrating Kindness Month. Our phenomenal Counseling Department has planned a plethora of activities to engage our students in conversations and initiatives that will help students evoke kindness through their deeds and interactions with others.

We look forward to seeing you during our Early Release Conferences on February 19 and 20. Please be reminded that we will not offer Help Day on Feb. 19, as many teams will be engaged in conferences during that time.

As we continue to Model Excellence Every Day, please take a moment and view the video using the link below. We believe in Shiloh and we appreciate all of your support!

Your Proud Principal,

Dr. Williams

Run the Reagan

Run the Reagan- A Community and Fundraising Event- Feb 29, 2020

Kick off your New Year with a little fun and exercise! Run the Reagan is a community race event that has been going strong since 1994. In addition to a racing event, it has also become a community builder and fundraiser for local schools.

This year, we would like to increase the Shiloh presence at the event, and we are calling on our community to participate as run participants. As a fundraiser, Shiloh Middle School will receive a portion of each race registration. In addition, we have the opportunity to create a "Shiloh Community Presence" at the race with our very own Shiloh Tent at the Family Festival after the event. We hope you'll join in on this fundraising and community event on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

This is also a great way to get students involved in supporting their school by encouraging them to join our team as well. Please help spread the word to your family and friends! We would love to have a large group representing Shiloh.

The race options and times are as follows:

Half Marathon (Timed) - 9:00 am | Thru Feb. 26th $55 | $60 Feb. 27th - Race Day
