Building like the 3 Little Pigs!
Ms. Ginni's Class
A classic story that we read this week was “The Three Little Pigs.” We did a science experiment where we predicted whether different objects would move or stay when we blew on them, just like when the Big Bad Wolf blew the pig’s houses down. We also made pink pigs on Monday during our large group instrucion time.
Enjoy the pictures!

HOME-SCHOOL CONNECTION
Thank you for all your support with this home - school connection activities. The children feel proud of their work and they are talking a lot about the "homework" that they did with their parent's help.
Supportive parents and a very close connection between school and home is the key to meaningful learning.
MAPING OUR KNOWLEDGE!
This week we have been listening to and retelling the story, The Three little Pigs. The children loved this story and we saw some fantastic imaginative play in our fairy tale role play corner. We have also had lots of fun building houses with straw, sticks and bricks!
The children used our Three little pigs story basket to retell the story and develop it with their own ideas.
We even invented a name for the Big Bad WOLF!

THE BIG BAD WOLF CAME TO VISIT!!!
We worked in groups building "houses" out of different materials. Then, the big bad wolf (a cleverly disguised hairdryer) came and try to blow the houses down! The kids were so into it.
Some of the houses surprised me! We did our predictions for the different houses and then we compared these predictions with the result.
GREAT WALL OF CHINA!
Ms. Ginni and Ms. Javi put pictures of famous buildings in the block area and we decided to do the "Great Wall of China". We started working in groups in this big project and you can see in the pictures the final result.
We were proud of our work and we learned some simple but important facts about this important structure.
BUILDING TIME
Stunning light play & building work !
When children produce this type of thinking, I like to call it that, we can't help but marvel at the complexity.
We talked about shapes, colors, buildings and numbers! we worked together to make different structures and we learned about the properties of light!
LEARNING ABOUT ROLLER COASTERS
In PK 3.3 Lowen's family came to talked to us about roller coasters.
Lowen's Grandfather use to work for a company designing roller coasters and her mom brought all the old blue prints to show us all the details and numbers that they used to build the roller coasters.
THANK YOU !!!!
