Sora is an app that provides access to a collection of ebooks and audiobooks that we share with Memorial and the High School. This slideshow will help you login if you haven't used Sora before. If you have any trouble logging in or using Sora, please email me at gartleel@spsdme.org. If there is an ebook or audiobook you are looking for that you can't find on Sora, please let me know, and I will do my best to find it for you!

Kick Butts Day
Also known as Take Down Tobacco Day, a national day of action and education against tobacco use. Today might be a good day to watch this Science Insider video about Why Vaping is Bad for You.

Spix's Macaws Are Going Home!
Seventh and eighth graders may remember a short article we read about the Spix's Macaw being officially declared extinct in the wild. Well, a group of dedicated conservationists have been preparing a young flock of captive-born Spix's Macaws to be reintroduced to Brazil. The birds are on their way home now!
Shedd Aquarium gives tours to penguins
While the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago is closed to visitors, trainers are taking the resident penguins of their own private tours of the aquarium. For pics and video, check out the Shedd Aquarium on Twitter or Instagram.
