PrinciPAW's Post
Week two is moving right along! Our teachers are doing a great job of getting students back in the groove of learning. I see happy faces and high engagement in every classroom. Our teachers are the absolute best! Thank you parents for your attendance at the 1st and 2nd grade Back to School Night. We appreciate your support and involvement!
Thank you to everyone who is helping to make carpool run smoothly. We have more carpool families this year which has contributed to some longer lines, but we are refining our procedures to get everyone in and out in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience. In the morning, please time your entrance into carpool early enough to be through the line before 7:50. We do not have any supervision until 7:20 when doors open. We cannot allow children to be out of cars before that time. Also, please do not let your child off on the sidewalk before you pull into the driveway. Please review the carpool rules and procedures below and remember that if your child is attending from out of the attendance zone, adherence to school policies including carpool rules is contingent upon continued enrollment. Thank you for being a good role model for your children!
As always, thank you for your support!

Pay It Forward School Supply Drive
We are doing a School Supply Drive for the families in South Louisiana who recently lost everything during the floods. There have been lots of children who were about to start school, but due to the floods lost all of their school supplies, clothes and basic necessities. Shreve Island is teaming up with Roy's Kids to help ease the pain these children and their families are going through. We need your help.
We are asking for backpacks and gift cards (Kohl's, Target, andWalmart) in order for the families to replace school clothes. We are also asking for the following (which will be listed by grade level in order for us to be able to collect a variety of items). You do not have to provide all the items below but anything will help these families.
Pre-K:
Glue Sticks, Large Pink Erasers, Clorox Wipes, and Toothbrushes
Kindergarten:
Crayons, Pencils, 1 Subject Notebooks, and Toothpaste
