Ripon Cathedral School Update
Week ending Friday 14th December 2018
Real Engaging Authentic Learning
Celebrating Our Autumn Term REAL projects!
Year 4 parents came in on Thursday to watch a fabulous 'sketch show'' in the Chapel. The class had done their own take on the Romans in the style of Horrible Histories and there were rave reviews! Children enjoyed sharing their work with parents and carers which demonstrated how much they had learnt about life in Roman Britain.
Sharing learning about the Romans in Year 4
Making Christmas crafts in Year 1
Creative Christmas Elves
Year 6 REAL project - Memories of London and Art Auction
The parents of Year 6 were treated to a film this afternoon to see some of the class's exploits during the residential visit to London in November. In addition, there has been an art auction to buy pieces evidencing the children's learning in history this term. Finlay did an amazing job as the auctioneer, he kept the pace up, raised money for the school and showed that he could have a career in the future as a stand up comedian. A big thank you to all parents and carers who came along to buy the paintings and support the children
We're sure parents of the remaining classes will be looking forward to next week and details of how to share in our REAL projects (and KS2 Superstar Worship) are shown below.
