Dress up Day- Fri. 10/29

Students are allowed to dress up on Fri. 10/29! This is always a fun day and we are excited to see our students and the costumes they wear! Please remember that students can not wear full costume masks at school (daily masks required) and fake weapons and accessories need to stay at home. Thank you for helping to make this fun day happen safely!

Last call for paper Boxtops!

I will be sending in the paper Box Tops at the end of this month. If you happen to have any more, please have your student give them to their teacher by Friday, October 29! The Box Tops Program is phasing out the paper Box Tops so if you would like to continue participating in the Program, please download the free phone Box Tops phone app and scan your grocery receipts so that the school will receive Box Tops credits. Thank you for helping to contribute money towards new books for the school library!

COVID testing on campus

Both school sites now have the ability to test students for the purpose of modifying quarantine for close contacts or when students return from being out sick. If your child is out sick they can return to school after 24 hours of being fever/symptom-free. With a signed consent form, students can complete a rapid antigen test, get Covid test results, and return to class within 15 minutes! This will reduce or eliminate the time students need to stay off campus while waiting for a negative test result.

For families that do not want to sign the consent form, we will continue to follow CDPH guidance on quarantine for unvaccinated individuals. THIS ARTICLE specifies the procedures we will continue to follow. Thanks for your understanding and assistance with keeping our campuses as safe as possible and students learning in person!

Family Resource Center

Exciting things are happening at the FRC!

  • Thanks to all those who participated in our Virtual Health and Wellness Fair last week! If your student(s) participated, feel free to stop by the office at Pine Hill for a little surprise.
  • Playgroup is starting back up this Tuesday, October 26! From 9:30-12:30 in the Family Resource Center at Pine Hill. We can't wait to welcome our families back for some fun!
  • Holidays are around the corner. If you are interested in holiday support, please reach out to the FRC to get put on our interest list, so we can reach out to you when it is time to sign up!
  • Diapers, diapers, diapers! We are always looking for new families for our diaper program! We offer families in size 0-5 diapers one box with wipes per month.
