Roosevelt Weekly Parent Info
Hello Roosevelt families! Wow. Thank you for an AMAZING year. Together we make a great team, so thank you! Here's wishing absolutely every Raccoon nothing but a restful and relaxing summer, filled with laughter, love, and lots of family time. I feel honored and humbled to help every Raccoon achieve their very best; thank you for this opportunity.
• Staffing Changes: This is the time of year when many changes are happening, and this includes staffing changes for the 2019-20 school year. Mrs. Koble will be moving to 2nd grade, and Mrs. Edstrom will be moving to 3rd grade. Mrs. Rivers is moving out to teach 3rd grade at Eagle Lake, and Mrs. Kari Hicks has been hired to teach 1st grade at Roosevelt. Mrs. Katie Westman has been hired as an additional special education teacher at Roosevelt. While staffing changes can continue to occur over the summer, these are the changes that are known at this point.
• Yearbooks: There are still yearbooks available for $12. Office staff will be around TOMORROW during normal business hours if you would like to purchase a yearbook for your child.
• Breakfast & Lunch Options in the Summer: Please remember that District 77 offers a free breakfast and lunch at many of its buildings over the summer. This summer, the meal program will NOT be offered at Roosevelt. West High School and Jefferson Elementary are the closest sites that will be open. Breakfast is served from 7:30-8:30 AM, while lunch is offered from 11:00-12:30 PM. Other sites that offer free meals include: East High School, Hoover, Rosa Parks, Franklin, Monroe & Kennedy.
Have a fantastic summer Raccoons!
