Sign up online to give back through the employee scholarship fund

Each year Sheldon ISD employees donate a small portion of their paychecks to provide scholarships to graduating seniors. Last year, the Employee Scholarship Fund gave $16,000 to deserving seniors. Please consider a donation to this program. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Important benefits information regarding ID cards

Cards were sent out the first week of September for enrollments/changes made prior to August 16.

Only new coverage, plan changes and/or added-dropped dependents members will receive new ID cards. If you haven’t received your ID cards for either the TRS AC Plans or the CVScaremark Pharmacy, please:

  • call a Personal Health Guide at 1-866-355-5999 to get their ID number or a temporary ID card.

Sept 3 PD Day focused on Special Programs

Sheldon ISD staff participated in a day of learning during professional development on September 3. The focus of the day was on special programs and planning for success. There were many sessions offered all day for teachers in the areas of dual language, reading, PEIMS, fine arts, college and career readiness, and AVID to name a few.

The Sheldon ISD Education Foundation has gone social!

Like Sheldon ISD Education Foundation (SEF) on Facebook to get updates on innovative teaching grants, fundraising events and more. The Education Foundation supports Sheldon ISD teachers and students by funding innovative teaching grants annually. This year, the Education Foundation has awarded more than $55,000 this year!


In fact, in the next month the Education Foundation will present grants to recipients who submitted a New to Sheldon ISD teaching grant.

Sheldon ISD now provides access to Microsoft Office 365 for staff and students

The full desktop (installed) version of Office on up to 5 devices is also available for download. The installed desktop version includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note - and then some.


  • District provided Office365 accounts are required for students and staff to download and install software.
  • Free subscription lasts as long as the student or staff member is associated with Sheldon ISD.
  • Installation on up to five compatible Windows devices, Mac devices, or smartphones.
    (One license will be used for your work computer. We will work to create a package for you to install on your school computer)

Staff

  1. Open a web browser and go to http://portal.office.com/
  2. Login using this format
  3. Select Install Office in the top right corner, and then choose Office 365 apps

Instructions for Students

  1. Open a web browser and go to http://portal.office.com/
  2. Login using this format
    • Username: id#@sheldonisd.com
    • Password: Your Sheldon ISD password (used when logging into a computer or MyLink)
  3. Select Install Office in the top right corner, and then choose Office 365 apps

COVID-19 Lab-confirmed Positive Reporting Form

This form is to be completed by SISD employees only if you have a lab-confirmed positive test. There is no daily screening form that needs to be completed.

Employee COVID-19 Health Guidelines

Employees are not required to complete a daily form for self-screening. The only form that should be completed is if an employee is lab-confirmed COVID-19 positive.
