Dear Central Road Families:

Our Kindness Crew and Yoga & Wellness Club took great pride in attending this week's Board of Education meeting and leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance. We are so proud of our students and club sponsors! We ended our week with a memorable Veteran's Day assembly. It was lovely to honor the day together. We thank our staff and students for organizing and performing so nicely. We appreciate you taking the time to read and review our weekly communication. Our first triemester officially ended on Friday, November 4th for students in grades 1-6. Progress reports/report cards will be issued for parent viewing on Friday, November 18th. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be taking place on Monday, November 21st from 12:00-8:00 pm and on Tuesday, November 22nd from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. They will take place in person. Please reach out to your child's classroom teacher to set up a conference if you have not done so already. We truly value our home-school connections and look forward to communicating with families on student progress.

The Spelling Bee is right around the corner. Students in grade 4th-6th will participate in classroom spelling bees the week of November 28th. One classroom winner will be identified to participate in the school spelling bee that is taking place on Wednesday, December 14th. Parents or Guardians of the winners will be invited to come in person, if they wish, to watch the spelling bee. We ask there is a maximum of two guests per winner to attend the event. There will be no virtual option this school year. Please reach out to Mrs. Green or your child's classroom teacher if you have any questions.

Central Road PTA will be hosting a winter wear drive again this year! Donations will be used for CR student emergencies and to support Partners for Our Communities. Please bring your new or gently used winter hats, gloves/mittens, scarves and brand new socks to school between November 14– 18. A bin will be set up in the front vestibule for donations.

We have seen an uptick in illnesses lately now that we are into fall and heading into winter soon. Please report any illnesses like strep, flu, pink eye, rsv, and/or covid to the Nurse's Office when confirmed by a doctor. Thank you for keeping your child(ren) at home when not feeling well. We continue to encourage consistent hand washing at school. Please email me with any questions related to your child's health needs at school. Thank you so much!
