Seperation Of Powers
Three Branches And Their Powers!
The Three Branches And Their Powers
To prevent tyranny from becoming true in America the Constitution separated the 3 branches and gave them equal amounts of powers. The Executive branch is the "head" branch, they are able to pass laws, enforce laws, appoint ambassadors, the president is also the chief commander of the army, etc.. The next branch, the legislative is congressional branch, This branch can create laws, declare war, approve of the ambassadors appointed by the president etc. The last branch is the judicial branch. For the most part they declare if laws are constitutional or UN-constitutional. They can also take in cases involving crimes only if the crime is a federal crime against America. And they can make amends to the constitution, currently there are 27 amendments.
