What We Are Learning:
READING
make connections to own experiences, to ideas in other texts, and to the larger community and discuss textual evidence.[2.F19F]
SCIENCE
2.6A - investigate the effects on an object by increasing or decreasing amounts of light, heat, and sound energy such as how the color of an object appears different in dimmer light or how heat melts butter.
MATH
identify examples and non-examples of halves, fourths, and eighths.[3D]
partition objects into equal parts and name the parts, including halves, fourths, and eighths, using words.[3A]
WRITING
17B Students will develop drafts by sequencing ideas through writing sentences.
17C Students will revise drafts by adding or deleting words, phrases, or sentences.
17D Students will edit drafts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling using a teacher-developed rubric.
17A Students will plan a first draft by generating ideas for writing (ex. Drawing, sharing ideas, listing key ideas).
18A Students will write brief stories that include a beginning, middle, and end.
