SPAM
It's Worse Than You Think
The Rundown
Spam is defined as unsolicited email/messages. It happens to all of us. Generally it comes in the form of an email or text message. Most of us just delete it and move on. What many of us don't know is that there are underlying issues with spam. Here's a few of the important ones:
Cost- Spam is supposed to be free... Right? Wrong. Spam takes up bandwidth space on your computer and phone, which costs money ( the cost will probably hide in your monthly phone and network bills). You may think that it can't cost that much, but 100 extra phone messages a month adds up.
Time- Time is precious. Currently, you're wasting it by sorting through spam messages. This needs to stop.
Content- Both malware and fraud hide out in your inbox. You don't want to end up being kidnapped by a crazy man, do you?
How to Beat Spam
Secondly, if you just want to sign up for something to look around quickly, use a one-time email address.
Lastly, install a filter. It's worth the cost. Plus, over the course of 10 years, it will end up saving you money!
