Daily Family Communication Expectations
Expectations:
Starting 4/13 you may send out the entire week's activities.
Monday emails must be sent before 10:30am. If you are doing weekly, you must send another email Thursday morning before 10:30am. This email can highlight something from the week, offer a reflection, or a bonus activity.
All grade levels will be ready to implement sending out the entire week's activities by 4/20.
Teachers will send emails via synergy (if you do not know how to do this contact Candice)
You may use other platforms in addition to synergy. Synergy keeps a log.
Each teacher of a grade level should send the same exact activities and email
All emails will be sent to families before 10:30am.
Reminder Learning Tasks
Teachers are required to send:
1 social-emotional task daily;
1-2 academic tasks daily (no more than 2);
1-2 interactive tasks a week;
Teachers can remind families of access to online programs (e.g. Reflex, Moby, IXL, Khan), but these would not be assigned or count as the daily activity.
Aim for 30-45 minutes of teacher guided learning each day.
Remember the below table represents MAXIMUM times.

Great read for this week!
Here is an article about building community online. While this is geared toward higher education, I think you will find it reaffirming.
