A MESSAGE FROM MRS. LUNA
Dear families,
Fall is definitely here! Please be sure kids are being sent to school with proper clothing because they do go outside.
The assigned seats have started on buses 8 and 9 and it seems to be going better. We've made a few adjustments and will continue to do so as needed to ensure everyone's ride is safe.
Our social worker, Ms. Susie, has been going into classrooms to teach lessons on bullying. Bullying is defined as intentionally and repeatedly causing harm or discomfort to another person. 1. Tell the bully to stop. 2. Get yourself out of the situation. 3. Tell an adult immediately. Please have conversations with your children about bullying and what to do if he/she is being bullied.

Getting to Know the Elementary Parent-Student Handbook
Be sure your child is dressed for the weather conditions. During cold weather children are expected to wear cpas or hoods, mittens, snow pants, and snow boots. Students will be outside at noon recess and before school unless the temperature or wind-chill is below zero. Please help your child understand the importance of dressing warmly.
When students need to remain inside for health reasons, the school will need a written request from the parents/ guardians. The request should include an explanation as to why the child should be inside and should state the number of days the request is being made for. Requests for more than five days must have a doctor's confirmation. When weather conditions prevent students form going outside, recess will be held in the classrooms/gym space.
