Olweus Bully Prevention Program

Hall has been awarded a grant to participate in the Olweus Bully Prevention Program. Teachers in 3-5 and Special Education Teachers will participate in a staff training from 12:00-3:00 on the upcoming PD day on March 16.

A committee of support staff will participate in 2 days of committee training to be held from 8:30-2:30 on March 19-20. Committee to include: Shipman, Miller & Gray.

Restroom Monitoring

Please limit students visiting restrooms alone. The custodians will be occupied most of the day with waxing floors and cannot monitor the restrooms all day. It would be best for you to take your class as a group, especially upstairs.

Floor Cleaning Schedule

The custodians will be cleaning the floors in all rooms before the end of the school year. In an effort to make this process as smooth as possible, please make sure that you prep your room by picking things up from the floors so that the only thing that has to be removed is your furniture. Please remove student materials from desks and table cubbies. I will post the schedule weekly in the newsletter.

Classroom Observations

I will be completing another round of classroom observations over the next few weeks. Before I begin the walkthrough I copy and paste the lesson indicated on the planbook site into the observation form. If you know that you are off plans for any reason, please be sure to let me know when I begin the observation. Please make every effort to stay on plans as written and as a grade level.

Test Folders

Teachers must have CURRENT test folders and test/retest documentation on every student. Papers should be filed regularly.

Daily Attendance

As a reminder, you must post attendance daily...Even if you have 100% .

For students in your class when you call roll: mark PRESENT.

For students not in your classroom when you call roll: mark MISSING.


Weekly Professional Development

Please complete activity by Sunday, March 8.
