- Went to High Point, Ridgeview Middle & Riverwood HS
- Graduated from Appalachian State University with a BA in Elementary Education & Second Concentration in the Arts
- Three month teaching abroad program in Civitanova, Italy
- 6th Year Teaching at Heards Ferry Elementary School
- 15 Years as a swim coach (Hammond Hills & Chastain Park)
Personal Life
- Married to the best husband in the world & just celebrated our four year anniversary!
- So blessed to be expecting our first child (Teddy) on September 17th!
- We have two kitties who are our pride & joy - Lanier and Delta!
- Bought a house in the same neighborhood I grew up in (AND my dad grew up in!)
- Love all things creative, lake-related and homemade

- I was in the TAG Program as a child too (and was challenged beyond belief!)
- One of my TAG teachers offered to help mentor me in this position!

Dear Parents & Students,
Welcome to Camp Creative! I hope you are as excited as I am for our time together. I hope you know how unbelievably grateful I am to be your TAG Teacher and how I'm going to do everything I can to make this the best year ever. I was in TAG as an elementary student & have dreamed of stepping into this role for most of my life. I have to give all the credit to my TAG Teacher, Ethel Wright, who wrote the most incredible lessons! She helped me develop my creativity, challenge my limits and grow my passions. My hope is that I can do exactly that for you too.
