Broken Arrow Weekly Update
Week of November 28-December 2
Message from Mrs. Green
It has been a COLD week outside but we are warm inside Broken Arrow and learning every day! Check out the pictures below of our students learning from Brad Sneed, author and illustrator, that came to visit with our 4th graders this week to learn all out his creative process. We have been talking all about Gratitude. Our students are grateful for so many wonderful things! Check out our Gratitude Trees and Gratitude Wall from Mrs. Bartlett's reading groups.
I am so incredibly grateful to be the Principal at Broken Arrow and can't believe all of the growth we all have made together so far this school year. I hope all students and families enjoy Fall Break and come back on Monday, November 28th refreshed and ready to hop into learning for 3 straight weeks before Winter Break. :)

Broken Arrow Garden Update
Here is the USD 497 Farm-To-School newsletter for the 3rd week of November. Leaves make great mulch and cover for sensitive vegetation - rather than having to rake and bag them all, simply rake over garden beds or planters to help with frost/freeze control and allow them to break down to provide a good dose of nutrients. Have a great fall break!
