Welcome to the Battle Mountain Media Center Newsletter!

The Media Center strives to be a place of learning and discovery where creativity can meet inspiration through our many resources. All who enter our doors are welcome and encouraged to consider this an open space where they can explore resources, find their next good book, and grow in their pursuit of knowledge.


The mission of the BMHS Media Center is to provide all students with access to information and the skills to become life long learners. It is the mission of the school and the Media Center to encourage, support, and educate students in becoming global citizens in the 21st Century learning environment. The school and Media Center work toward fostering and promoting reading skills and interest, ethical and efficient use of technology, diverse thinking, educated and independent learners, and active citizens within the school, community, and world.


The Media Center strives to provide students with the best possible quality of education through resources, programs, and one-on-one instruction. It is the goal of this media center program to encourage and promote in students life long learning skills that will provide foundational support for future success and educational opportunities. The Media Center aims to encourage a passion for reading, knowledge, and ethical use of information skills as well as promote information literate students and citizens who are globally aware of the diverse and complex nature of the world in which they live.


The BMHS Media Center offers students access to the following resources:

Wireless Internet, Desktops, Printers, Chromebooks, iPads, Fiction & Non-Fiction materials (Both in print & online), Tutoring, collaborative spaces, and academic support.

Hours of Operation & Staff

Monday – Friday: 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Homework Club (AKA the Den): 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
