Last Day of School!

The day is finally here...Last Day of School!

Today we celebrated our 90 sixth graders as they completed their elementary journey and begin their adventure into secondary education in the fall. There were touching, personal words from teachers, tears from the parents and students, lots of hugs and smiles as we said good-bye.

As students dismissed for the summer, we had our annual bus loop send off! The buses circled the driveway twice as all Morgan's staff were outside to wave off our Morgan kids for the summer vacation. Again, there were hugs, tears and smiles as we all said good-bye for the summer.

It has been an amazing year at Morgan. We've watched our Science Olympiad team take 2nd place in county competition, our Math Olympiad and Social Studies Olympiad teams place in events, Destination Imagination and Lego Robotics teams advance to state competitions, Girls on the Run and Heart and Sole participate in their 5K run in May, a sixth grade Morgan student winning our district chess tournament, another sixth grade Morgan student appearing in a Nike commercial, our media center come alive with robots as Morgan students advance in their computer coding, a new mathematics program implemented throughout the grades, and so much more!

Your kids worked hard this year! Give them appreciation for what they have accomplished and continue to keep them thinking, reading and problem solving during the summer months! Most of all, spend time with your families! Make summer memories together! Buy the ice cream from the truck, visit the local park or beach, take a road trip to discover a part of Michigan that you haven't seen before, ride bikes together, play a sport, go swimming. Just play with your kids and savor this time in their lives before they grow another year.

Have a great summer together and we will see you in late August!

Main Office Moved!

At 12:00 PM TODAY, our main office was relocated to the Music Room until our front office construction is completed some time in August. The phone lines will be up and running again on Monday, but were shut down for the day today as all technology was relocated, along with all materials, files, supplies and anything else that was in the office.

Starting Monday, if you need to come to the Main Office, you will need to enter through the Music Room outside door, which is the first door of the SAM Suite (newer addition to the building), facing the church. You can park on the play pad that faces the church for closer access to the Music Room door. Our office staff will be here until June 26, then return again on August 8, reporting the Music Room again until construction is complete.

LAST CHANCE!!

Sale Ends June 30!

Morgan is offering one-stop school supply shopping again this year through 1st Day of School Supplies. Each grade level has a suggested school supply kit available for purchase online. These kits will be labeled with your child's name and grade (be sure to order for next year's grade) and will be delivered to Morgan in August.

Your child will have their school supply kit waiting for them on Rocket Day 2019! No running to stores! Everything is right there in the kit!

Sixth Grade Clap Out and Move Up Ceremony

Morgan Alumni Return for Final Clap Out

Congratulations to the Class of 2019! Twenty-five of our former Morgan Rockets returned for a final clap out and reception in the Media Center. Thank you to our committee for organizing this event! It was great to see our former students and hear about their plans for the future. We wish you all the best!

Sixth Grade vs. Staff Annual Softball Game

This year we had to move our playing field due to the wet conditions, but were still able to have a good game of softball. The kids played well and we all had some fun on a nice, sunny day! Thank you to our Morgan Volunteers PTO and our Morgan Student Council for sponsoring Kona Ice for the day.

Morgan Says "Good Bye" to our Families Moving On!

Each year, we have families leave Morgan that have been with us for a number of years as their children have come through the grades. Our staff would like to say "Good Bye" to the following families. You will be missed at Morgan and we wish you well as you move on to junior high and beyond!
