Important Dates from LSL Ski Club
Ski Season is around the corner - Mark your calendars!!
Ski Club Registration Fees increase on April 1
Mission Stream Clean
It’s time for the first official ski club activity at Jefferson Point. This is one of the volunteer activities focused on giving back to our community and counts for one of your volunteer requirements to the club. It is suited for the entire family and has always provided our community neighbors a small example of our volunteer efforts. I have taken charge of this event from my dad and am working with the City of Lake Saint Louis and met with other clubs/organizations in our community for volunteers as well. The Anglers, Ambassadors, Environmental Green Advisory Board and Wentzville High School’s National Honor Society will all be participating. The city of Lake Saint Louis continues to request our involvement in this activity and they recognize our club as a large and reliable partner.
Mission Clean Stream
We’ll be doing our part with hundreds of volunteers, The Greenway Network, Inc. and other cities in this major stream clean-up to help restore the Peruque, McCoy and DardenneCreek Watersheds. These streams are important to the health of our communities, clubs and support a variety of wildlife. It is set for Saturday, April 2, 2016.
Our watershed is Peruque Creek and will include cleaning the Jefferson Point area of trash and debris.

Fee: $40. Cash or check (LSLWSC). All ages and abilities welcome.
The barefoot clinic is held in the days leading up to the barefoot figure 8 tournament. Both events are instrumental in providing a venue in which novice and advanced skiers can develop skills and feel the excitement of competition.
The barefoot figure 8 tournament is usually one open division. If we have enough participants, additional divisions may be formed (senior, women, juniors, etc).
Lunch will not be provided at the clinic on the Cuivre River so each participant is responsible for bringing their own. Barefoot suits are mandatory. We have a limited amount of barefoot suits to borrow so it is important to arrange beforehand for one to borrow, many are also available for purchase online. Some possible suggestions for obtaining a suit are

Glenn Mueller was a long time member of the Lake Saint Louis Water Ski Club whose life was cut short too early from cancer. He was an exemplary member and his enthusiasm for skiing was contagious. He was generous with his time and could often be seen repairing equipment for the Club. This tournament (now in its 14th year) is held to honor his legacy.
