Meet The Panelists
Andy Spurling, Proline Management
Facilitated by Wendy Dagg, Managing Partner, Hot House Marketing
Bruce Mullen, Co-CEO, Founder of Jusu Bar
1st generation family business
When Bruce and his family went through a personal tragedy, he realized how crucial it is to make better, healthier choices as early as possible –– and dedicated himself to helping other people make those changes. He’s passionate about motivating and educating others to take control of their health and wellness.
Bruce took everything he’d learned about the benefits of cold-pressed juicing, organic food, and natural, chemical-free products, and opened the flagship Jusu Bar and Jusu Body in 2014. He now owns 12 locations in Victoria, Vancouver & Calgary.
2nd generation family business
Proline Management Ltd. is an industry leader on Vancouver Island, providing clients with peace-of-mind property management services for their strata, rental and commercial properties. As a family company, they help communities to grow, tenants to find homes, and owners to worry less about their investments. And they're on the move — now in Victoria, Westshore, Nanaimo, Parksville and Courtenay.
Property management is more than bricks and mortar. It’s about creating places people want to live, buildings that better their surroundings, and communities that make homeowners proud. This belief guides everything they do and makes them a little bit different.
John Wilson, President & CEO, Wilson's Group of Companies
3rd generation family business
Since 2008, with John’s leadership, sales have increased 150% and the fleet has expanded from 40 buses to more than 140. The company has also expanded from their single location in Victoria, to offices and services in Nanaimo, Campbell River and Vancouver.
Services include Vancouver Island's largest charter bus company, scheduled services including the YYJ Airport Shuttle and the BC Ferries Connector crosswater connection between Victoria and Vancouver, and sightseeing products including Victoria's iconic double decker Gray Line Hop-On Hop-Off tour.
The company also operates an eight-bay mechanical, body shop, and washing facility. Under the Wilson’s Group umbrella, Wilson’s operates the Capital City Station, the Capital City Café, and their new Wilson’s Customer Experience Call Centre.
